Healthy Food Can Boost Metabolism And Burn Fat

It is no great surprise that most food that can boost metabolism are also very effective in burning fat. Why do we need to increase metabolism? The state of your metabolism can spell the difference in weight loss. If you have a sluggish metabolism, your body will react to store fat in your body. But if you can increase your metabolism, then you have a greater chance to burn calories and lose weight.

For us less lucky folks, our body has a way of storing fat in our body when we have slow metabolism. A good solution is to eat food that will burn fat and increase the metabolism. Food that can keep insulin levels low can help boost metabolism. Food rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates are also very efficient in burning fat.

A good start would be to substitute whole grain products instead of white bread and cereal. Whole grain bread and cereal are rich in slow carbohydrates and fiber that can keep insulin levels low.

Contrary to popular belief, milk is also great in burning fat. Calcium in milk can trigger metabolism. Skim milk is especially great when you are on a diet to keep your insulin levels low. Low insulin level means that your body will store less fat.

Drink coffee for an instant boost in metabolism. Just take care not to exceed two to three cups of coffee a day to avoid any side effects.

Fruits that are rich in fiber can help boost metabolism. Eating apple, for example, can give you a healthy amount of fiber in your body. The body will digest fiber using excess calories. This is great for fat burning.

Green tea has some chemicals with similar effects to coffee. Green tea can make your brain and nervous system work in overdrive, thus burning excess calories. However, unlike coffee, there are no side effects when drinking green tea.

Tuna is food that is readily available in your kitchen. Eating tuna can help lower the leptons level in the body. Studies show that a lower leptons level is linked to increase metabolism in animals.

Oatmeal not only lowers the occurrence of bad cholesterol in the body, it is also high in fiber, which helps your body burn calories and lower insulin levels for a great boost in metabolism.

It is easy to get into a healthy diet. If you want to try some of the food listed above, you can do so right away, because they are proven to be safe and effective. However, if you think you have slow metabolism, you should consult your doctor so that you can get tested for hypothyroidism.
